1-25-05: William Ash's new album, "The Phoenix" climbed to #39 in the jazzweek.com Jazz Charts in January, 2005. We will have units for sale, as well as audio clips on this site soon!

11-10-04: Smalls Records has finally released a William Ash CD which has been sitting in their vaults since 2001. The title is "The Phoenix".

11-10-04: Blue Note Brunch Nov 14th 12:30pm and 2:30pm shows. Organ trio "ASH" with Yoichi Kobayashi (dr) & Kyle Koehler (org).  They will be recording a new LIVE CD for What's New Records in Japan Nov 16th in New York.

8-19-04: William's first official Soulkid release, "The Long Road" (YSKR-111) is now available online, and will soon be in stores as well. There will be a CD release party/performance, for 2 nights only: Friday (8-20-04) and Saturday (8-21-04) @ Fat Cat, 75 Christopher St. (off 7th ave), NYC, NY between 10pm-2am. 6-23-04: Yalloppin/Soulkid has inked a deal with the best mainstream jazz guitarist in Jazz today, William Ash, to a non-excusive deal. SKR has already re-released a (formerly Japanese pressing only) album formerly titled "Hear William Ash - Moonlight and Stars" and has repackaged it as simply: William Ash - Moonlight and Stars. The album features Paul Gil- bass  Mark Taylor - drums, and Jimmy Madison, drums, and has a few standards and a bunch of catchy originals. All of it tastefully swinging like few younger musicians can. It can be purchased either here, or Amazon, or cdbaby.  For the info and clips, click on the album cover. A new album was recently recorded at Foreclosure Studios, called The Long Road Back, as well as a Duo album with G-Clef featuring 16 ballads. The Long Road  is in production, whilst the Ballads for Bill and Joe is now available under the G-Clef category of our online store, and will be ready elsewhere within days.

 

6-14-04: Moonlight and Stars is now available online at Amazon, CD Baby, and the Soulkid Records online store.

6-14-04: a new William Ash Trio album was recorded at Foreclosure Studios for Soulkid Records. According to Ash, it is his best album yet recorded. The tentative title is "The Long Road Back". Featured on this album is Rudy Petschauer and Tom Petryka.

6-13-04: William Ash is playing at the Blue Note - June 13 at brunch 12:30-2:30 during the day
